adult woman size "footie” (aka – anklet). All aspects of this sock's architecture will
be demonstrated.
Suggested Prerequisite:
Experience knitting on double pointed needles is helpful
but not required.
Supplies:
Purchase your supplies in advance
to ensure you have what you need!
- Two US 3 (3.5mm) circular needles – 16” is
easiest but any length is fine.
Match needle material – two bamboo, two metal or
two plastic.
-2
skeins (100 g) of sock yarn rated for a US 3 needles, such as Patons Kroy Socks,
Patons Kroy Socks FX or Patons Stretch Socks.
You many select any colorway but will find it easiest to learn on a low
contrast colorway.
This class are for Intermediate Knitters. This is not a beginner learn to knit
class. Minimally, you must be comfortable with knit and
purl stitches. Experience with ribbing,
increasing, decreasing and double pointed needles is helpful.
The classes are self-selected. If you need direction, please enter your
question in the comments box below.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Because
knitting takes time and we will be working with small needles and thin yarns,
it is not likely you will finish in SOCKS II and III. Although all skills will be
demonstrated, you will need to knit at home and/or attend additional classes to
complete your socks.
