World Wide Knit in Public Day event

Bring your beach chair and a project. 
Weather permitting we’ll sit outdoors.
Come on your own or bring a friend/loved one.

What is WWKIP?
World Wide Knit in Public Day was started in 2005
and is the largest global knitting event. 
It began as – and still is – a way for to come together, enjoy each others company and let the world see us doing what we love to do.

12:00pm – 4:00pm | Lawn at Bryant Park, NYC

Bryant Park is the NY Public Library’s beautiful backyard which is an easy walk due east from Port Authority. The park sits between 40th and 42nd Streets facing Avenue of the Americas (AKA 6th Avenue). 

Free Classes in the Park

Join fellow knitters and help create a giant Knitting in the Round Project in celebration of World Wide Knitting in Public Day.

Yarn and needles provided. 

Produced in partnership with Knitty City - a wonderful yarn shop on the Upper West Side on 79th Street.
